About Us

The EDC has focused on improving workforce skills, supporting traditional and emerging industries, and improving regional infrastructure—all conducive to enabling economic development on Cape Cod. Most recently, our Program of Work is focused on providing the regional infrastructure and resources that will help create a sound and viable infrastructure for economic development on Cape Cod.

Our scope includes adequate wastewater treatment, a sufficient supply of workforce housing, accessible public transportation, a robust communications backbone, vibrant mixed-use downtowns, along with supportive regulations, planning and zoning. CCEDC’s grants have supported wastewater treatment, updated zoning by-laws, village growth centers, main street redevelopment, and the Open Cape project.

We continue to work to improve Barnstable County’s infrastructure and growth strategies in order to strengthen the Cape's culture and environment.Cape Cod Economic Development Council Council Members
